Tactical Teaching Reading up and down the Queensland coast
We are so very pleased that more and more schools in Queensland are looking to be trained in Tactical Teaching Reading. It supports the good work done by Education Queensland to help all students become proficient readers to tackle increasingly complex texts in all subject areas.
Leading Learning for the Future, Curriculum Leaders Conference
On October 16 and 17 we exhibited and presented for the first time in Australia, at the Institute for Professional Learning Centre of the Sunshine Coast University of Sippy Downs, Queensland, Australia. http://wired.ivvy.com/event/KTHRSP/ Our presentation, "No Stress Teaching Reading in Key Learning Areas? No Problem." It was fantastic to meet such enthusiatic teachers and to be able to share with them some real solutions they could take straight back to their classrooms.
More Tactical Teaching training for the Catholic Schools Office in Armidale, New South Wales
We so enjoyed our third trip to Armidale NSW in October 2014 to train yet more Facilitators in Tactical Teaching. Armidale Catholic School office has taken on Tactical Teaching in a huge way, training Facilitators in Tactical Teaching Reading, Tactical Teaching Speaking and Listening, and finally Tactical Teaching Thinking.
Tactical Teaching Thinking comes to Wales
On Friday, October 3, Fitzalan High School is hosting the first ever Tactical Teaching Thinking teacher course in Wales. We are so very excited about this and thanks go to the Tactical Teaching Reading Facilitators at the school, Lianne Francis, Dean Seabrook, Sylwia Daszkiewicz and Jaclyn Skinner for organising. Thanks also goes to DP Angela Thomas and HT Cate Bradshaw for enabling great PD like this to come to their school.
